Plaited Redhide Reins
Redhide reins with plaited section for extra grip. These reins feature gulf knots for bit attachment. Made from Australian made redhide by us, they are a lovely rein to use.
Redhide leather is a finer leather than saddlery leather at approx 3.5mm thickness. It is strong whilst being soft in the hand with slightly more stretch than saddlery leather.
We make these reins with the gulf knots which are easy to use and we include info on how to put the knot on and off the bit. They can also be attached to snaps if they are to be removed from the bit often, though the knot is easy to learn and use. They are a lovely rein that is a traditional stockworkers style rein that also makes a great everyday rein.
